Honda confirms new compact SUV for New York
Honda will be bringing a new compact crossover SUV to the New York International Auto Show this year.
Not much has been spared in the way of details, just to tease our palettes. But rumors in the past have indicated that Honda may just federalize the Vezel crossover from abroad, for US shores. That said, the new SUV could basically be a more versatile Honda Fit
The same rumors hint at the use of a new 1.5L EarthDreams four-banger good for 130hp and 114 lb-ft of torque. But either way, we won’t know until Honda spills the beans.

Honda Goes Small in the Big Apple

With the new 2015 Fit set to go on-sale nationwide in the second half of this month, Honda will showcase a full color spectrum of the newly-launched model at the 2014 New York International Auto Show. Possessing class-leading cargo and passenger space, top fuel economy ratings and numerous new standard features, the 2015 Fit is poised to reset the benchmark in the subcompact segment. Complementing the Fit launch, Honda will make an announcement about the compact SUV that will join the lineup this winter during the noon E.T. press conference on April 17.
Additionally, the next-generation of Honda’s advanced humanoid robot, ASIMO, will hold a special live demonstration on the 17th of its new technology and mobility capabilities at the New York Auto Show. Members of the media are encouraged to attend one of the four live demonstrations scheduled at the Honda booth at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m., as well as the special lunchtime press conference.
