Report: Refreshed Toyota Camry coming to 2014 NYIAS

Though the next Camry is said to be much more interesting to look at, the current iteration still puts jittery highschoolers ensconced at Starbucks to sleep. Toyota, it seems will be trying to curb this outpouring of beige, and mediocre design language and put a couple of guns, space thrusters, and fins on the current car to liven things up a bit for the upcoming New York International Auto Show in mid April.

The mid cycle refresh for this car is expected to carry the same 2.5 liter four as a base engine with a hybrid option and the top-of-the-range 3.5 liter V6, which actually puts out the same number of horsepowers as a Subaru WRX: 268. Like the WRX, there’s now an option to only have two pedals, although in the Camry, this has been standard for quite some time. Expect to see shots of one of the best selling vehicles out there with new headlights and taillights in the coming weeks, and then, of course, for many years to come.
