With the recent buzz surrounding a Nissan Titan equipped with a 2.8 liter Cummins Diesel, there are also now indications that the truck will be premiered at next year’s North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Included in the upgrades for the Detroit unveil are a new gas powered V6 engine, a total redesign of the body, and a regular (single row) cab configuration.
This last option may lower the entry price and might make it a bit more accessible for those cross shopping the Tundra, and, in a pinch, the RAM 1500, Silverado, and F150. The redesign and expose at Detroit make sense for the product, which has been languishing in sales numbers of 887 in January of last year (the Ford F150 sold 46,536 in January).
