Report: Bentley’s SUV gets pricing and powertrain details ahead of Geneva

Though the auto business used to be pretty straightforward for years, new niches have been popping up left and right; one of the latest is the six-figure pricetag SUV segment. Many Range Rovers on the road today sit squarely within it, as to most well-optioned Porsche Cayennes. Bentley has let slip through a back door that their new SUV should cost somewhere around $200,000, not a low starting price, but not exorbitant when compared to the existing competition.

This Bentley may also be the first to sport a diesel. The Porsche Cayenne diesel offers up 627 ft-lbs of torque and it would not come as a shock if Bentley were to slot an upgraded version of this engine in. Though when your sandbox also includes the V12 turbodiesel with 738 ft-lbs this may be a tempting consideration as well. According to AutoExpress, there will also be a plug-in hybrid version coming for MY2017.
