Report: A 2015 Ford F150 is due at Detroit next month

Ford is really shaking up a storm in the full-size pickup market by making a serious leap to be the first-ever pickup truck designed and built with an aluminum body. This should come to no surprise as Ford invented the vehicle more than a century ago.

Now, Bloomberg reports that a 2015 Ford F150 donning Atlas-looks and that aluminum body is on its way to Detroit next month. The new model will apparently be 750lbs lighter than the outgoing model. A 2.7L EcoBoost engine and a 10-speed automatic are both due on the new F150. Hybridization may also occur.

Ford was last heard to be having problems with aluminum supply for the bodies, which is still being worked out. Though now, the F150 seems to be getting back on track.
