AutoCarUK reports that the next most important chapter to the all-new 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class—the one sent to the AMG finishing school in Affalterbach—could sport a twin-turbocharged V8 with as much as 493hp.
The initial launch of the car for Europe will feature a range of compact forced-induced four-bangers in both diesel and gas form. Though the C63 AMG will get a new 4.0 M177 V8. Specific power figures haven’t been disclosed, though the outgoing C63 AMG churns out 451hp—so expect at least a bump from that current figure.
Channeling that power will be AMG’s existing seven-speed 7G-MCT dual-clutch SpeedShift automatic.
