Report: Volvo discontinuing C70 Convertible in early 2014, to make way for production Coupe Concept
Australia’s Drive.com has learned that Volvo will cease production of the C70 hardtop convertible after seven years in production, in early 2014. This is to make way for the production version of the recent and drop-dead gorgeous Volvo Coupe Concept, which was revealed at the Frankfurt motor show earlier this year.

A direct replacement convertible is on the agenda for Volvo too, after Drive.com spoke with the senior vice president of product strategy, Lex Kerssemakers. Though nothing has been confirmed as of yet for the near future since the project will be approved when Volvo is “ready.”
As of now, Volvo seeks to focus on their new line of four-cylinder engines and the incoming XC90 crossover.
