Report: BMW’s i3 reservations exceed brand’s expectations, could increase production

BMW may be boosting production for their i3 city car after reports have indicated that BMW’s first mass-produced electric city car kicked off to a solid start. More than 8,000 i3s have been reserved before the model hits showrooms in Europe next month, exceeding BMW’s expectations.

The BMW i3 begins selling for the first time ever in Europe next month, while the rest of the world like China, Japan, and the US, get the new model in the first half of 2014.

Prices start at just $41,350 in the US.
