Report: Lexus to facelift CT 200h in 2014, a replacement due in 2016.
Lexus introduced their CT 200h in 2010 as a 2011 model in hopes to start a compact luxury sport hybrid segment, resulting in a Prius-based hatch. We liked the CT for its ambition, though we thought there was plenty of room for improvement. Despite this, the CT 200h has exhibited some solid success, to the point where Lexus plans on continuing the model with a mid-cycle refresh.

According to Australia’s TheMotorReport.com, Lexus’ chief executive for the brand’s branch down yonder calls the CT 200h the automaker’s “greatest opportunity.”
A facelift is expected sometime in 2014, to make way for a replacement due in 2016. And although this is pertaining to the Australian spec CT 200h, there’s reason to believe that our CT could receive an update before a replacement as well.
