Report: Porsche to add Cayman and Boxster GTS, plus 911 Targa and new Macan

A recent press conference was held at Porsche’s North American headquarters where Jalopnik has learned that the Zuffenhausen-based automaker will be adding some updates to their lineup. Such updates include the Porsche Bosxter, Cayman, the introduction of the latest 911 Targa, and the midsized Macan crossover SUV.

Porsche will be revealing new GTS variants of the Boxster and Cayman at this year’s Beijing Motor Show in April with upgrades including a hike of 15hp each, a standardized manual cog swapper with Porsche’s PDK still optional, standard Porsche Active Suspension management and more.

The Macan on the other hand is still on track to be revealed at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show i November, donning either a 3.0L turbocharged V6 for the base model or a more powerful 3.6L variant. Pricing is said to start at $52,000 for the base model and $75,000 for the S and Turbo models.

A new 911 Targa will also show itself at the Detroit Auto Show next year with a base price of around $100,000. Based on the latest Carrera 4 and Carrera 4S, the new Targa is said to offer a new and clever automatic sliding roof.

No official word has left Zuffenhausen from the lion’s den, though you can still head to Jalopnik to read what they have to share.
