Report: McLaren P1 begins production and prepares to go batsh!t insane fast

The Netherlands’ Telegraaf reports that British supercar maker, McLaren, has just begun producing their much anticipated P1 super hybrid, according to a spokesman.

A grand total of 275 examples will be built, all complete with an electric motor for a total combined output of 916hp and 663 lb-ft of torque. That allows the McLaren P1 to sprint to 62 mph in less than three seconds.

Prices in the US start at a base of $1,150,000. Now, it’s just a matter of time until one gets spotted in the flesh on public roads.
