Lexus teases a new concept car on its way to Frankfurt

Lexus themselves are gearing up for some primetime exposure at this year’s Frankfurt Auto Show as the Japanese luxury automaker has released a teaser on its international site. Alongside the single picture was a brief press release reminding us that they have some special on the way.

Additionally, Lexus is trying to get Europe excited about their introduction to the first-ever GS 300h in Europe, though not the first GS, of course. The new GS 300h though is the latest hybrid variant of the midsized luxury sedan, based on the new generation.

Lexus will hold its press conference on September 10th, where they’ll physically unveil the new concept, if not over the web internationally prior to that date.

What could it be? Most have bet on the possibility of it being the much-anticipated IS coupe, renamed the RC, which is describe to be ready to duke it out with the BMW 4-Series and the Audi A5. But, we won’t know for sure until the revealing.

Check out the press release after the jump.
