Report: Cadillac’s new Elmiraj Concept has a distinct possibility of reaching production

Hey, remember that really breathtaking luxury GT coupe that Cadillac revealed at this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance? Of course you do, I mean, how can you forget a car that looks so good and has so much presence?

If you were wondering whether or not it was going to reach production, AutomotiveNews apparently learned from Cadillac’s senior vice president, Bob Ferguson, that the Elmiraj does indeed have a distinct possibility of reaching production.

“Sometimes you go through these exercises to make a design statement,” Ferguson said. “This car is marketable. It’s practical enough to be put through the production process.”

That said, should the coupe reach production, it would be based off of the large rear-wheel drive flagship sedan due in 2015.
