Recalls: Mitsubishi and NHTSA recall select 2011 Outlander Sport crossovers with panoramic roofs
Mitsubishi and the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration have issued a recall for some 3,181 2011 model year Outlander Sport crossover SUVs. The recall is apparently for the improper installation of the panoramic sunroof for models equipped with it.
Cars affected were made between August 26, 2010 and March 29th, 2011 and the issues lies with the original assembly process where a required primer and adhesive may have not been applied properly.
Resultantly, affected panoramic glass roofs could possibly detach from the vehicle. Mitisubishi said they will inspect all affected models and will replace the glass if necessary using the right processes.
