Report: Next gen 2015 Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio to introduce new design philosophy
Automobile manufacturers have a tendency to utilize one model—usually a flagship or bread-and-butter—to spearhead said manufacturer’s future plans, from either a design or technological standpoint, or both.
That said, Edmunds.com reports after speaking with insiders that the next generation 2015 Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio sports cars will “reveal a new styling direction” for the manufacturer. According to the discussion, the next generation GranTurismo and GranCabrio will decrease in size to be more along the lines of “2+2s” rather than the larger grand tourers that they are now.
Keen enthusiasts would note that Maserati already has revealed several new models that already have new similar designs—the Quattroporte, the Ghibli, and the up and coming Levante SUV. The new GranTurismo and GranCabrio however will move the design philosophy’s forward.
