Report: Cadillac’s next generation Escalade reportedly due in spring of 2014, to be unveiled this fall

Cadillac recently and subtly hinted that the next-generation Escalade full-size luxury SUV will debut in the spring of 2014 via a teasing graphic.

Not much is known about the new Escalade, though speculation points to the use of GM’s latest 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 that’s first seeing duty in GM’s new line of pickup trucks.  That mill is good for 420hp and 450 lb-ft of torque, powering the rear-wheels as standard with optional all-wheel drive.

A bold exterior is expected, similar to the recent Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickups. Additionally, Cadillac reportedly promised that the new interiors will do better to separate the Cadillac from its lesser familial cousins.

A debut at Cadillac’s dealer conference this fall is expected, as well as a barrage of information in the meantime. So stay tuned.
