Jeep prices the aesthetically challeneged 2014 Cherokee starting at $22,995

Jeep officially announced the pricing for its all-new and very aesthetically challenged 2014 Jeep Cherokee, which starts at just $22,995 without a $995 destination charge. Hitting the showrooms later this year, the all-new 2014 Jeep Cherokee has had it rough ever since it was released, with many calling it plain ugly. Though I personally can’t pass judgement since I have yet to see it in person. But I will admit that the pictures really haven’t done much for me either.

But iffy visuals aside, the base model Cherokee Sport is described to comes with steel 17-inch wheels, projector headlights, power windows, and Jeep’s Uconnect infotainment system. Power is provided by a Fiat-sourced 2.4L Tigershark four-banger good for 184hp and 171 lb-ft of torque.

Following the Cherokee Sport is the Cherokee Latitude, starting at $24,495. This adds a body-matching exterior, fog lights, and 17-inch aluminum alloy runners. On the inside, some luxurious appointments are added such as a leather-wrapped steering wheel, ambient interior lighting, and a front passenger seat with in-seat storage. The same Tigershark four-banger is standard, with an optional 3.2L Pentastar V6 good for 271hp and 239 lb-ft of torque.

Second to last is the Cherokee Limited, which really dials in the luxury options with automatic headlights, 18-inch polished aluminum wheels, heated leather seats and steering wheel, a digital gauge cluster and standard infotainment system with a larger 8.4-inch touchscreen, dual-zone automatic climate control, auto-dimming mirror, and a standard universal garage door opener. This starts at $27,995.

And topping the range is the Cherokee Trailhawk, which is the supposed enthusiast choice, with it aimed towards being an expression of “off-road ruggedness and performance.” The 2014 Cherokee Trailhawk receives some visual upgrades such as revised front and rear fascias, unique fender flares, red tow hooks, and some underbody skid plates. The ride height as been increased with a heavier duty off-road suspension, an upgraded engine and transmission cooling apparatuses, and Jeep’s patented Selec-Terrain drive mode selector and Active Drive Lock 4×4 drivetrain, complete with a low range box and a locking rear diff.

The 2014 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk requests $29,495 for the keys.
