Report: Rolls-Royce considering Wraith-based convertible, and either a new SUV crossover or full-size shooting brake sedan

Germany’s AutoBild reports that Rolls-Royce may be considering two new models to add to their growing lineup. The models would be a convertible based on the existing Wraith shooting brake, while an SUV crossover or hatchback a la BMW 5-Series Gran Turismo may also be in the works.

The Rolls-Royce Wraith-based convertible would be powered by the brand’s twin-turbo 6.6L V12 engine good for 624hp and 590 lb-ft of torque and would be due for production in 2015.

The rumored crossover on the other hand would be based on the 2014 BMW X5. However, the hatchback would be based off of the next generation BMW 7-Series, which could also mean that the Rolls-Royce hatch could be similar to the Porsche Panamera. The decision should be made within the near future with a launch slated for 2016, if either the crossover SUV or the hatchback get the go-ahead for production.
