Report: 2014 Chevrolet Camaro V6 brochure leaks some details, more powerful V6 and new face [UPDATE]

CarScoops.com was able to get the scoop on the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro V6 as they reportedly and exclusively handed a brochure for the new facelifted Camaro. As expected, the new 2014 Camaro V6 utilizes the sleeker front end with the smaller grille and headlights that we first saw on the all-new 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 and SS at the 2013 New York International Auto Show. However, interestingly, the taillights still retain the original recessed shapes, except the lighting scheme is different.

That’s not all, as the new brochure appears to tout that the new V6 gets a nice boost of 31hp, up from 323hp to 354hp. The expected result is a 0-60 time of just 6.2 seconds and an average of 34 mpg on the highway.

Of course, the brochure did also suggest that the rest of the Camaro lineup, such as the ZL1, the 1LE and the convertible should receive the 2014 Camaro’s new face as well. Those will probably start trickling our way over the course of the year.

UPDATE: It appears the joke was on me as this leak appears to be false as part of an April Fools joke. Welp, I fell short on that one. I extend my apologies if I may have misled you. You can check out the report via GMAuthority. But still, it’s not unreasonable to expect that the V6 Camaro will be receiving the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 and SS’s new face.

Thanks for the tip Solman!
