Video: Mercedes-Benz uses Playstation 4’s new DriveClub videogame to tease CLA45 AMG
Being a self-professed gamer and car enthusiast, I naturally got a bit aroused about this bit of news. Mercedes-Benz and Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.—also the same developer who’ve brought us the proverbial Gran Turismo franchise ever since Sony’s Playstation was introduced—have announced a collaboration with videogame developer Evolution’s new game, called DriveClub.

While Sony themselves announced the coming of the much-anticipated Playstation 4 gaming console earlier this week to ever so build even more hype for the revered gaming console, Mercedes-Benz announced that they worked specifically with Sony and Evolution to feature their latest AMG models: the new CLA45 and A45 AMG.
The CLA45 AMG was teased via this new videogame trailer ahead of the CLA45 AMG’s debut at this year’s New York International Auto Show next month.
As for the game itself, Evolution and SCEI promise an all new level of racing simulation, offering an experience like never offered from previous staples in racing simulator history. And this is very apparent in the trailer provided below as there is an enormous amount of detail visible when the trailer shows off close up detail shots of some of the other cars featured in the game. DriveClub will also offer an extensive online multiplayer setup where you and your friends will be able to collaborate in various ways.
Either way, I’m both psyched for the incoming Playstation 4 and this new DriveClub. Though unfortunately, I can already see where a fair portion of my life in the near-future will be going.

Firing up the world’s most powerful four-cylinder production engine
In March the A 45 AMG will be presented at the Geneva auto show. With this new family member Mercedes-AMG will for the first time be offering a high-performance vehicle in the compact class segment. The AMG-Version of the new four-door Coupé, the CLA, is celebrating its world premiere in New York. With a peak output of 265 kW (360 hp) and a maximum torque of 450 newton metres, its turbocharged AMG 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine is the world’s most powerful four-cylinder power unit in series production. The power density of 133 kW (181 hp) surpasses even that of the most powerful super sports cars. At the same time they excel with outstanding efficiency, while also meeting the EU6 emissions standard. The A 45 AMG and the CLA 45 AMG are equipped as standard with the fully variable, performance-oriented AMG 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system.
