2013 Detroit: 2014 Nissan Versa Note gets new design, new tech
Today at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show Nissan unveiled its 2014 Nissan Versa Note, marking the second generation of the automaker’s hatchback.
Said Nissan Division Vice President and General Manager Al Castignetti: “Our three all-new vehicles launched in the past six months – Altima, Sentra and Pathfinder – helped propel the Nissan Division to its best year ever with sales of more than one-million vehicles. We’re keeping the excitement going with this great-looking Versa Note and its unexpected and affordable technology, which should help Versa retain its title as the top-selling nameplate in the entry-level segment.”
Power comes from a 1.6 liter HR16DE 4-cylinder engine rated at 109 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 107 lb-ft of torque at 4,400 rpm.
The note features technology such as NissanConnectSM with Navigation, Hands-Free Text Messaging Assistant, Around View Monitor and Active Grille Shutter. Pricing starts at $13,990 for the hatchback variant.
