Report: Maserati working on Porsche 911 rival with up to 523-hp
We’ve heard it before and we’re hearing it today. In order to reach its goal of 50,000 units on an annual basis by 2015, McLaren is working on a new sports car that will hit the roads in 2015 and will compete with the likes of the Porsche 911.
The model will be based on a version of the upcoming Alfa Romeo 4C and will be powered by a a chice of twin-turbo engines that will be developed in collaboration with Ferrari.
Reports suggest that there will be a twin-turbo 3.0 liter V6 making 404-hp (from the new Quattroporte) and a 523-hp V8 model.
