2014 BMW M6 Gran Coupe arrives early summer 2013
BMW has released the details and images of its latest M model – the BMW M6 Gran Coupe. While we’re not sure if the model will make its auto show debut at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, we do know that it will be going on sale in early summer 2013.
“The M6 Gran Coupe is made instantly unique among four-door vehicles by its bonded-in carbon fiber composite roof panel, similar to the one found on the M6 Coupe,” BMW said in a statement. “Between the doors is a cabin of sensational coupe-like design and first-class materials. The M6 Gran Coupe’s control placement and – equally important – control feel are second to none.”
Like the BMW M5 and the M6, power for the BMW M6 Gran Coupe comes from a 4.4 liter TwinPower Turbo V8 engine making 560-hp and 500 lb-ft of torque. Mated to 7-speed M-Double Clutch Transmission (M-DCT), 0 to 60 mph comes in 4.1 seconds with a top speed that is electronically-limited at 155 mph.
Prices and other details will be announced closer to launch.
