Brabus tunes the 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class

Brabus never passes up an opportunity to tune a Mercedes, and its latest program is for the Mercedes GL-Class that encompasses performance and exterior and interior styling.

Power tunes for the model start with the GL 350 BlueTEC, which gets 310hp and 509 lb-ft of torque from the ECO PowerXtra D6S kit. This makes for a 0-62mph time of 7.6 seconds and a 140 mph top speed.

Next up is the GL 500, which gets fitted with the B50-520 kit that achieves a 5.0 second 0-62 mph time and 171mph top speed (with optional Vmax unit) from its 521hp and 590 lb-ft of torque.

On the outside, the model gets just a few touches for now, but they include a selection of wheels from 18- to 23-inches, a stainless steel sports exhaust and high-performance brakes for order and an air suspension module that can drop the height by up to 30mm.

For the interior, the tuning house offers up exotic wood and carbon fiber trim, Matik leather and Alcantara, a speedometer that reaches 200mph and illuminated door sill plates.
