2013 Hennessey Venom GT2 to get 1,500-hp
The 2013 Hennessey Venom GT2 has been unveiled and has received a significant bump in power along with some design changes to the body.
Power for the 2013 Venom GT2 will come from a 7.0 liter twin-turbo V8 and will produce 1,500-hp (up from the outgoing 1,200-hp). The engine will be bated to a 6-speed Ricardo manual or an optional 7-speed paddle shift transmission.
While no performance figures have been released, the 2012 Venom GT went from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.2 seconds with a top speed of 272 mph.
Prices will start at $1.2 million with an official market introduction due in late 2013.
