Word on the street is that two famous sports car British brands – Aston Martin and Lotus – could be talking about a tie-up or partnership of some sort in an effort to reduce development costs resulting in more profitability and better products.
According to Automobile Magazine, Aston and Lotus by be looking to merge or create a cooperative agreement to bring together their engineering, purchasing and production resources to reduce costs.
Lotus could provide Aston Martin with knowledge of producing lightweight sports cars while helping the supercar brand increase fuel-efficency. In return Aston could provide Lotus with production resources.
