What happens when you give two of the best drifters in the world, Ken Block and Vaughn Gittin, Jr., two of the sportiest hatchbacks in the world? Ford decided to find out by bringing both drivers to an abandoned neighborhood and handing them the keys to a new Ford Focus ST and the Volkswagen GTI.

Block quickly got in the Focus ST – leaving Gittin, Jr. with the V-dub GTI. Of course, the video you’re about to see could be biased since it was one created by Ford and two, features two Ford sponsored drivers at the wheel.

Refresher: Power for the 2013 Ford Focus ST 5-door hatch will come from FoMoCo’s 2.0 liter EcoBoost 4-cylinder turbo making 247 horsepower with a peak torque of 265 lb-ft. Mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, the Focus ST runs from 0 to 62 mph in 6.5 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph. Prices start at $24,495.
