Report: Hyundai, Kia to offer more turbocharged engines, new transmissions, more diesel models

Hyundai Motor Group announced today that its two brands – Hyundai and Kia – will be offering more turbocharged engines and new transmissions in the United States.

The company also said that it plans to expand its offerings of diesel-powered vehicles but did not confirm in which markets.

Hyundai Motor Group also didn’t confirm when the new engines and transmissions will be made available (apparently they were just being nice in letting us know that they are on the way).

Bloomberg has previously reported that Hyundai is working on a 10-speed automatic transmission for its luxury sedans starting 2014.
