Report: Next Ford Focus RS to make 350-hp from 2.3 liter EcoBoost engine

Ford may be bringing its Focus RS model to the U.S. for the first time, according to Team RS European performance division team engineering manager Len Urwin.

Talking with PistonHeads, Urwin says that British engineering company GKN will probably craft the new RS’s active front limited slip differential. It may also come with a 2.0-liter EcoBoost, which makes 300hp, but the 2.3-liter EcoBoost that kicks out 350hp hasn’t been ruled out, either.

The next Ford Focus RS will also likely available only as a 5-door, as well.
