Report: Porsche CEO confirms new mid-engined supercar in the works

WorldCarFans reports on two reports surrounding a possible new mid-engined Porsche supercar. According to German news reporting agency Handelsblatt, who sat down with Porsche CEO Matthias Muller—with a contributing report from Autobild.de—Porsche seeks to expand their lineup

Muller reportedly confirmed that the Zuffenhausen-based brand will build a new supercar that would cost between €300,000-400,000. It will also feature a mid-engine design and is said to be placed between the 911 and the 918 Spyder.

Additionally, Porsche is still reportedly on track to launch the new up and coming Macan crossover, while the next-generation Panamera will follow.

Unfortunately, that’s all that is known for the time being. As per my speculation, sounds like Porsche is on the road to making a Carrera GT successor. Either way, it’ll be interesting to see what Germany’s shielded Prancing Horse has up their sleeve.
