Toyota recalls 7.43 million cars globally over driver side window issue
Toyota has announced a global recall of more than 7.43 million cars due to an issue with a power window that poses a fire risk.
Toyota said that the recall covers a variety of models including some Highlander, Matrix, Tundra, Yaris, Corolla, Camry and RAV4 models.

The issue has to due with the driver’s side power window switch that may become sticky or ‘notchy’ during operation. The problem is a result of uneven application of grease during switch assembly – if commonly available lubricants are applied, a fire could start under some circumstances.
The recall affects approximately 2.5 million vehicles in the United States.
