Report: Koenigsegg releases pictures of Agera R “BLT” for China only

Koenigsegg has reportedly released images of a new “tailor made” Agera R, which they call the BLT—not to be confused with the favorite American sandwich. Bound for the Chinese market only, the BLT features a special tinted clear coat, which exposes the weaves in the Agera R’s carbon fiber body. Red accents have been added as well while others can vary according to the owner’s request.

According to WorldCarFans, Koenigsegg said that the “BLT” name has a different meaning in Chinese, as opposed to bacon, lettuce and tomato. In essence, Koenigsegg is showing off their “individual” program, which allows owners to customize their cars from the factory in a vast variety of ways, especially with color combinations.

Of course, powering the Koenigsegg Agera R is an in-house 5.0L twin-turbocharged engine that develops a Bugatti Veyron-like 1,140hp and 885 lb-ft of torque using Ethanol-85. Weighing only 3,164lbs, the Agera R tackles 100km/h or 62 mph in 2.9 seconds for an eye-watering top run of 245 mph.

More than eye-watering is the price: €1.2 million, or $1,574,160. That’s not factoring the extra cost of customizing this BLT version.
