2013 Volvo V40 R-Design gets 254-hp
The brand new 2013 VOlvo V40 is getting a new R-Design variant to give the already sleek looking hatchback an even sportier appeal. Being launched later this month at the 2012 Paris Motor Show in Rebel Blue, the Volvo V40 R-Design gets dynamic look on the outside, a sporty interior and 254-hp of performance.
“The V40 R-Design is designed around the performance-minded individual with a passion for those things that add extra spice to life. The meticulous attention to detail covers the expressive design as well as the agile, precise performance,” says Lex Kerssemakers, Senior Vice President Product Strategy & Vehicle Line Management at Volvo Car Corporation.
The Volvo V40 R-Design exterior features include silk-metal framed high-gloss grille, an ironstone diffuser, silk-metal finished details and twin exhaust tailpipes and 5-spoke diamond-cut wheels (17″ or 18″). Besides the Blue livery you see here, buys have a choice of six other colors.
On the inside, the Volvo V40 R-Design gets seats that feature a blend of black Nubuck textile and perforated leather, embroidered R-design logo with a blue “R” – full leather treatment available as an option, specially designed steering wheel, gear shifter, handbrake and sport pedals, new aluminium inlays with a perforated look, and a black headliner.
Power comes from a T5 gasoline engine with 254-hp. Volvo – please bring it to the stateside.
