2013 Audi RS5 Cabriolet unveiled

Audi has unveiled the drop top version of the RS5 before its 2012 Paris Motor Show public debut. The Audi RS5 Cabriolet gets the same upgrades to its performance and mechanicals as the coupe. That means power comes from a 4.2 liter naturally aspirated V8 engine making 450-hp at 8,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 318 lb-ft between 4,000 and 6,000 rpm.

Mated to a 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission and Audi’s quattro permanent all-wheel drive system, 0 to 62 mph comes in 4.9 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph. Audi will increase that top speed to 174 mph as long as you cash out some extra dough.

The Audi RS5 Cabriolet’s top opens and closes at the press of a button in 15 seconds and 17 seconds at speeds of up to 31 mph.

Delivers of the Audi RS5 Cabriolet will start in Europe in early 2013. Pricing comes out to €88,500 ($111,500 USD).
