BREAKING: Volkswagen leaks photos of 2013 Golf VII/MK7 before debut

Just recently, Volkswagen has reportedly leaked a series of photos of the new MK7 Golf hatchback on the Internet.

Built on Volkswagen’s latest MQB architecture, the new 2013 Golf VII has been completely redesigned from the ground up. On the outside, the new Golf drops its curvaceous body for a more chiseled look with more angled creases and folds than the outgoing model. But overall, the 2013 MK7 Golf maintains a rather conservative design that’s unmistakably a Volkswagen Golf.

So far, the engines are expected to be a series of small and efficient four-bangers, complete with cylinder deactivation. The gasoline EA211 engines are expected to produce anywhere from 59hp to 148hp while the diesel EA288 four-bangers will range from 89hp to 187hp.

Stay tuned for full details as the MK7 Golf gets its full debut.
