Gumpert filed for insolvency, things starting to look better

Supercar maker had recently filed for insolvency proceedings, after expected sales volumes in the China market couldn’t be realized.

“The super sports car “apollo”, developed by Gumpert is technically mature and holds superior
performance figures compared to all other cars,” the company said in a statement. “Now it’s essential to reactivate the European market, which has been neglected over the past years.”

Gumpert said that the Apollo has gained a fan base throughout Germany and Europe and the company has now taken care of this customer base intensely. Production on the car is continuing and the first vehicle is expected to sell within this week.
