Report: Ferrari expects record sales, profit for 2012

Ferrari is expecting some record sales and profits this year despite the fear of a new recession in the United States (not again), the debt crisis in Europe and a slowdown in China’s economy. We’re guessing all this mention factors don’t really hurt Ferrari’s customer base since they already are quite wealthy.

Ferrari Chairman Luca Cordero di Montezemolo said demand for the company’s supercars continues to rise. “From the latest data I’ve seen, we are on track to make this year another record year,” Montezemolo told Automotive News Europe.

Just last year, Ferrari set new records for itself bringing in 7,195 sales and an operating profit of 321 million Euros.

Through June, Ferrari’s sales were up 7 percent to 3,664, when compared to last year.
