Report: Capristo gives the 2013 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 its own treatment

German tuning house Capristo has created a kit for the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 that both improves performance and modifies its appearance.

Cutting weight was a major focus of this project, and to do so, Capristo replaced many of the models parts with carbon fiber, wherever it could be done. The model ended up with carbon fiber mirror housings, air intakes, front grille, rear diffuser and apron, components of the engine compartment and the trunk liner. This totals up to an 88-lb weight reduction.

Performance was modified with an exhaust system, and even though no figures have been revealed to show the 6.5-liter V12’s power improvement over the stock 691hp, Carpristo noted that its shaved 0.1 second off the stock 2.8 second 0-62mph time. The top speed has also been upped to 220mph, a 2mph improvement.

The tuner says its not done just yet, as the team is still seeking ways to reduce weight, and will release more details once the project is fully completed.

So far, I’d say just leave the model alone, considering 2hp and 88lbs seem to be more of an unnecessary effort rather than a significant improvement, but we shall see once the final specs are released.
