Lexus is hoping to convince existing and new customers that hybrids are not boring. In their latest attempt, Lexus takes the 2013 GS Hybrid and a stunt driver who takes customers around a track while they try to keep their heart rate below 120.

The new Lexus GS 450h Hybrid isn’t just any slow and calm hybrid. it actually allows you to go from 0 to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds, which is pretty fast for even a regular gasoline powered sedan of that size.

Refresher: The 2013 Lexus GS 450h Hybrid is powered by a 3.5 liter V6 engine mated to a compact, high-output, water-cooled permanent magnet electric motor. The two powerplants drive the rear wheels both independently and in tandem, as needed. Together, the unit produces an nice 338 horsepower, allowing for a 0 to 60 mph time of 5.6 seconds with a top speed of 131 mph.
