The world’s first Nissan LEAF Limo

Just behind the release of it’s police car version this month in Portugal, Nissan has just debuted a 2012 Nissan Leaf Limo at the Embassy Suites hotel in Nashville, Tennessee.

Nissan itself describes the vehicle as “the world’s first road-worthy, licensed, street-legal electric limousine.” It serves its function well, as despite the model’s limited electric range, the majority of the trips it takes are under five miles away for the hotel.

Nissan has not mentioned who is responsible for creating the Leaf limo, but they did say “They kept most of the Nissan Leaf’s essential parts intact. There is still just one battery pack, but now it sits in the back for balance. They added about 400 pounds in the center of the car to make room for more seating. And they added mirrors, plush leather and cedar paneling, synonymous with luxury limos.”
