Report: Honda to confirm new Civic Type R in Paris

At the 2013 Paris Motor Show in September, Honda plans to announce the development of the new Civic Type R, according to company insiders. The model will then be previewed in concept form at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show in March before it goes on sale later that year.

No word on what will be powering the next-generation Honda Civic Type R.

The outgoing Civic Type R ended production because its normally aspirated VTEC engine failed to meet emissions regulations.

Here’s to hoping that Honda will offer the Civic Type R in the United States this time around.
