Report: Aston Martin marching on with SUV development
At the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, Aston Martin released a Lagonda concept that was an SUV that didn’t go over too well. The automaker, however, says it is still working on creating a competitor for the yet-unreleased Bentley EXP 9 F with a completely new design.

So far, the concept is borrowing its underpinnings for the Mercedes-Benz G-class based on an already-established agreement between the two automakers. In addition, Benz will provide engines and drivetrains, with a 6.0-liter V12 likely to be its flagship. Variants such as diesel, hybrid and smaller petrols are all anticipated.
It is still undecided weather the model will be badged as a Lagonda or an Aston Martin to compete with other luxury SUV’s from Lamborghini and Bentley.
