Land Rover to bump up Range Rover Evoque supply, new Range Rover to debut early 2013

U.S. dealers say that they can’t keep up with the demand for the Range Rover Evoque, which was named the 2012 North American Truck of the Year and was a massive hit with consumers. Land Rover is now stepping up production of the compact SUV in Halewood, England.

According to Andy Goss, CEO of Jaguar Land Rover North America, the United States will now get about 1,000 units of the Evoque a month in September. That number is up from the current 750.

“It has been tough on the network,” Goss said.

Land Rover sold 4,355 Range Rover Evoques in the first half of 2012 and 2,244 last year.

The redesigned Range Rover will hit showrooms in the first quarter of 2013.
