The patent application is for ‘HFE High Fuel Efficiency’, and while the fuel-efficient Dart variant is dubbed the Aero, there is a possibility that with Saab being sold off, there are some legal issues that come along with this badging.
Using other automakers as a reference point, this type of badging is generally reserved for conventional models modified for improved fuel economy, such as the Honda Civic HF or the Ford Focus SFE. It is therefore likely that Chrysler will follow suit with the HFE badging.
