It seems that Ford wants to add their Shelby GT500 to the 200 MPH club. Ford has been putting its sports car through rigorous courses such as the Nürburgring and the Nardo Ring.
According to Chief Functional Engineer Kerry Baldori, when the new Shelby had been tested for stability and safety at 220 mph, it passed with flying colors. They even conducted full ABS stops from that speed and the Ford took it with barely a hiccup.
That is very impressive considering other cars that can make such claims also cost upwards of almost 200,000 dollars.
