Production Volkswagen Beetle Fender Edition unveiled

Following the concept version, which debuted at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, Volkswagen has finally unveiled the production version of the new Beetle Fender Edition. The model is making its debut this week at the Leipzig International Auto Show and is fitted with a premium Fender.

Fender Edition exclusive features include a dashboard with the sunburst color of Fender guitars, vehicle’s interior accented with color-contrasting, a Deep Black Metallic exterior with brushed chrome exterior mirrors, 18-inch alloy-wheels, Bi-Xenon headlamps and the Fender logo.

The Fender Premium Audi System itself consists nine speakers along with a 10- channel amplifier providing 400 Watts.

Power for the Volkswagen Beetle Fender Edition comes from a 2.0 liter turbo-charted 4-cylinder TSI making 200-hp.

The Volkswagen Beetle Fender Edition will go on sale in Europe and North America later this year.
