Audi R8 LMS Ultra helps brand claim first overall victory at Nurburgring 24 Hour Race

Audi’s domination in endurance racing took a huge turn this weekend at the Nurburgring 24 Hour Race with the brand winning its first overall victory with the new Audi R8 LMS ultra.

The Audi R8 LMS Ultra race car was entered to the endurance race by Audi Sport Team Phoenix and completed 155 laps with ease. The car was driven by German drivers Marc Basseng, Christopher Haase, Frank Stippler and Markus Winkelhockand.

After the first car crossed the finish line, another 3 minutes 35 seconds later a second Audi R8 LMS Ultra from Team Mamerow Racing crossed the line.

Mercedes-Benz came in 11 minutes 31 seconds later taking the third spot with BMW coming in fourth.
