Genevart Celsius Hybrid supercar coming next year

We’re not even half way through 2012 and yet, companies are beginning to advertise their spots at next year’s 2013 Geneva Motor Show. One of these is Switzerland’s own Genevart, who plans to unveil their latest supercar based on the Porsche 997 Turbo.

From the renderings, it almost looks like a small successor to the original Carrera GT, though this Genevart Celsius Hybrid is in no way related, especially since this supercar is also a Hybrid as mentioned. Mated to the 997 Turbo’s original 3.6L flat-six, which produces 470hp and up to 850hp, are two electric motors that provide an extra 158hp total. Channeling all that goodness to all four wheels is an electronic sequential gearbox for a 0-60 time of just 2.9 seconds.

Additionally, the body was lightened and strengthen with carbon fiber to allow for such fast performance times.

Genevart didn’t release any specific information about production and pricing, but it has been confirmed that Genevart will only make 10 units per year. So scoop up yours fast!
