Nissan confirmed today that it will team up with Austrian contract manufacturer Magna Steyr to build its new premium compact car for the brand in 2014. Infiniti brand boss Andy Palmer said in a statement that the car will help it reach new customers and grow in key markets.
No other details on the car were given or if it will be available for sale outside Europe.
The new entry-level model will be built on the Mercedes-Benz MFA platform, which underpins the A-Class and the B-Class.
