That’s right – we kid you not. According to a report by CARandDRIVER the Infiniti Emerg-E plug-in hybrid sports car concept is based on the Lotus Evora. How so?
Check out our original post on the Infiniti Emerg-E from the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.
The Infiniti Emerg-E Concept was developed in Europe to take advantage of funding provided by Great Britain’s Technology Strategy Board. The agency focuses on pushing new technologies that reduce carbon emissions in future vehicles. Among the bunch of universities and suppliers that make up the organization is Lotus, which provided its structure for the Lotus 414E (based on the Evora) for the Emerg-E.
Styling for the concept is all Infiniti.
“We wanted to show graceful power,” said Infiniti design boss Shiro Nakamura. “This is like silk wrapping over the wheels.”
